Youth Participation in Peacebuilding Education

September 2019

Last September, the PPC Board had the distinct honor of presenting advanced policy report titled “Youth Participation in Peacebuilding Education” to the UN Global Coalition on Youth, Peace, & Security, diplomats from EU Delegation and their Member States, and South Korea Ambassador Cho Tae-yul. A product of 6-month long research, youth consultations, and expert interviews, the report meticulously documents case studies and policy recommendations that can help the UN better harness the power of schools and youth activism in the peacebuilding and conflict resolution process.

The student-led policy briefings received an overwhelming praise within the UN experts and diplomats, many of whom requested follow up meetings to discuss potential collaborations and even implementations of the recommended policies. Above all, PPC is proud to have unabashedly communicated its uncompromising mission: to bring young voices to the policy-making process.
